Mission
The Goodwin Academy was founded in 2007 and is certified to teach Irish Dancing by An Coimisiun Le Rinci Gaelacha in Dublin, Ireland. Our goal is to instruct our dancers in a way that exemplifies respect and kindness while upholding high standards for skill development and execution. Our instructors are SafeSport Certified.
Our Story
Goodwin Irish Dance was started in 2007 and has grown to become the premier boutique Irish Dance Studio in Rochester, NY. Our dancers have earned local, regional, national, and international results in solo and team events, in both modern and traditional styles of Irish dance. Participation in local parades, St Patrick's Day performances, and charity events as well as competition develop a strong sense of self confidence in our dancers. Our students go on to use these skills as they further their education and careers. We are proud that the love of Irish dancing and the lessons learned from competitive dance carry forward into their daily lives for years to come!
